Ramvilas Atal & Sons

We are located in Sudhanshu Chambers, right on Shivaji Path in Kalyan West. It’s a crowded building but we’ve been here for a good while. This is a family thing, passed down through the generations. My sons are involved now too. We handle a lot of wholesale and trading stuff. It gets noisy with all the traffic outside and people coming in and out of the chambers all day long. We don't have much time for fancy talk. People come in, they want to know the price, they want to see the quality, and we talk it out. We deal with a lot of regular customers who have been buying from us since my father was running the show. It’s about being there every morning and opening the doors. We keep our records mostly in ledgers because that’s what we’re used to, though we use the computer for some stuff now. The office is full of samples and old files. It might look a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We don’t really do advertisements. Most people find us because they know the name or someone told them to come here. We just try to be fair and do a good day’s work. Kalyan is a fast place, always moving, and we just keep pace with it. It’s a lot of long hours but it’s our life. We hope to keep the doors open for another generation.
