Petro Chemicals Paints Pvt. Ltd.

Our setup is in Gokul Bihar Co-operative Housing Society, which is a bit unusual because it’s a residential building. We are in Building No. 2, Flat No. 302. Being near Adarwadi Jail makes it easy for people to find us, though it’s a strange landmark to give out. We deal with paints and various chemical products. Because we are in a flat, we have to be careful about how we store things. There’s always that faint smell of thinners or paint around. We have boxes of samples stacked against the walls in the rooms. Most of the time we are on the phone with suppliers or writing down orders for different projects. We don't have a big storefront where people walk in off the street. It is more of a back-office operation where we manage the business side of things. The society is usually quiet, apart from the usual noises of people living their lives. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors are used to us by now. Sometimes we have to carry heavy containers up, which is a bit of a workout. It’s a small operation, really. We just focus on getting the chemicals to the people who need them. It is honest work, and we don't feel the need to pretend we are in a big glass tower or a fancy warehouse. It works for us.
