Mahesh Marble & Granite

You can find us in the Marble Market on Mohone Road, which is near Patidar Bhavan in Shahad West, over in the Thane district. The market is always a bit chaotic, with trucks coming in and out and people looking for materials. We have been operating out of this spot for a good while. Our shop is just like the others around here—heaps of stone everywhere and the smell of wet marble in the air. We are close to the station, so there is always a lot of foot traffic. It is a local business, run by family and a couple of helpers who know the trade. We spend our time showing people the different slabs we have in stock. Some want marble for a small kitchen, others are looking for enough granite for a whole building. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just talk to whoever walks in. Sometimes the rains in Thane make things difficult, and we have to cover everything up with plastic sheets to keep the mud off. It's a messy job sometimes, but we like being part of the Shahad community. We know the other shop owners around here, and we all just try to make a living. It isn't a high-end corporate place, just a regular shop where you can get your stone. We try to be honest about what we have on the floor and give people a fair price.
