Ketan Traders

Ketan Traders is located at 35A, Valandipalayam, right on Marupana Street. It’s a narrow street and it can be a bit of a squeeze if two cars try to pass each other, but it’s home for us. The shop is a simple room where we keep our stock and a small table for doing the accounts. We have been in Valandipalayam for a long time, so we know most of the people who walk past our door every day. We don't have any big signs or bright lights to attract attention. People know where we are because we’ve always been here. The work involves a lot of counting, packing, and talking to suppliers. It’s not a complicated business, but it requires us to be here every day. We open early when the street is still quiet and the air is a bit cooler. By noon, the whole area is buzzing with activity. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just write things down in our ledgers and make sure the inventory is right. Sometimes we sit on the front step and talk to the neighbors about the weather or the local news. It’s a very grounded way of working. We aren't looking to expand into some huge company. We just want to keep things running smoothly and stay part of the community here on Marupana Street. It is just a regular trading business.
