Raj Coverblocks

Raj Coverblocks is tucked away at 1 Laxmi Narayan Colony. We are pretty close to the Panchdhara Society in the Thankar Pada area, specifically on Agra Road in Kalyan West. It’s a bit of a residential feel around here, but we have our setup where we handle the cover blocks. The work is heavy and dirty because of the cement and materials we use. Our yard is usually full of finished blocks drying out or being stacked for transport. Kalyan gets pretty humid, so we are always drinking water and trying to find some shade while we work. The space isn't huge, so we have to be very careful about how we stack things so we don't run out of room. Every morning starts with mixing and checking the molds. It’s a repetitive job, but it’s what we know. Neighbors sometimes drop by to chat, and we know most of the people on this stretch of Agra Road by now. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If someone comes by, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see what they need. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we have to work Sundays too if there is a big project that needs materials urgently. It’s just the reality of the construction business in a place like this.
