Akshay Enterprises

Naya Bazar is a world of its own and it never seems to stop moving. Akshay Enterprises is located at No. 1732 in the Nai Basti area. We are very close to the Ram Mandir so we hear the temple bells every single morning when we open up. It is a very crowded part of Delhi with narrow lanes where trucks and cycle rickshaws are always fighting for an inch of space. Our building is quite old and the entrance is tucked away behind some other shops. Inside, it stays a bit dark until we flip all the light switches. We have stacks of goods piled almost to the ceiling against the walls. Since it is a trading business, there is always something being loaded or unloaded at the door. The office is just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a desk that has been scratched up over the years. We have a small picture of the deity with a fresh garland on it near the entrance. The Delhi summers are really brutal in these narrow streets so we have a water cooler that makes a lot of noise but helps us stay cool. We spend most of our time talking to customers on the phone or shouting instructions to the loaders outside. It is a chaotic place but we have a system that works for us.
