Our office and workspace are located at 13 14, Ellikal Road. It’s a decent-sized spot, though it feels a bit crowded when we have a lot of stock coming in. S V S Cottons India Pvt. Ltd. is where we spend the bulk of our week. The road outside, Ellikal Road, can get pretty dusty when the wind picks up, so we’re always sweeping the front steps. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties here. You’re more likely to see us in plain shirts with the sleeves rolled up, moving boxes or checking on the cotton. The building at 13 14 has been around for a while, and it has its quirks, like the light switch in the back room that you have to flick twice. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just answer the phone and talk to whoever is on the other end. Working with cotton means there’s always something to clean up, but we don’t mind. It’s a practical business for practical people. We’ve got a small kitchen area where we eat lunch together most days, usually talking about the weather or the local news. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local cotton company at a familiar address, doing the same thing we’ve done for years without any fuss or complicated plans.
