People know where we are because Sector B in the Kalunga Industrial Estate is usually pretty busy with trucks coming and going all day. We've been at this spot for a while now, right near the P.O. Kalunga, and if you live around here, you probably pass the gates every morning. It gets quite warm around the kilns, but that is just part of the job when you're dealing with refractories. There is always a layer of dust on the cars in the lot, and the noise from the machinery never really stops until the evening shift ends. We mostly just focus on getting the orders out and making sure everything is stacked right in the yard. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the roads around the estate a bit messy, but we manage to keep things moving regardless. It is not a fancy office or anything, just a lot of practical work happening on the floor. Most of the staff have been living in the area for years, so we all know the local tea stalls and the shortcuts to avoid the main road traffic. We do not spend much time on fancy talk, we just handle the bricks and the lining materials as they come through. If you walk by, you’ll see the guys in their gear just doing what needs to be done to keep the furnaces running elsewhere. It is just a regular industrial life out here in Kalunga, and we don't try to make it seem like more than that.
