Our unit is located in the Kamaldeep Industrial Estate, right across from the Arvind Ltd. plant in Khatraj village. Being in Unit-Ii, Sub Plot No. 23, we are right in the thick of the industrial zone. It’s a lot of metal and grease around here, as you’d expect for a place that deals with textile machinery. We spend our days assembling parts or checking over machines before they get sent out to customers. It’s not the cleanest environment, but we prefer it that way because it shows we’re actually working. The heat in the village can be pretty intense during the afternoons, so the fans are always going. We have a small team here, and everyone knows their job. We don’t have a big corporate department to handle things; we just talk to each other and get it done. Sometimes parts are late or a machine doesn’t behave like it should, and those are the long days where we stay late to figure it out. Most of the people around here are doing similar work, so there’s a sense of just being part of the local industry. We don't spend much time in an office. Most of the hours are spent on the floor with the tools. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we’ve been at it long enough to know the ins and outs of the machinery we handle every day.
