TOTO CERAMICS

Our place is called TOTO CERAMICS and we are situated in Nani Kanod. It's a small spot in the Panchmahals district. If you are coming through Kanod, you will find us easily enough. Being out here is a bit different than being in the big city. It is quieter, except for when the machines are running. We work with ceramics every day. It’s hard work and your hands usually end up covered in clay or dust by the time lunch rolls around. We’ve got a small shed where we keep all the finished pieces and the raw materials. The weather out here in Panchmahals really affects how we work. When it’s too humid, things don't dry right. When it’s too hot, the workers need more breaks. We just take it day by day. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the ceramics we produce are solid. Sometimes the road to the post office in Kanod is a bit bumpy, so we have to be careful when we move things. It’s a plain business. We don't have a marketing department or anything. It's just us, the clay, and the kiln. If you ever find yourself in our part of the district, you’ll see that we are just a local operation trying to do honest work.
