Sun Techno Cast

We are located out in Rakanpur at the Ambika Estate. If you know the Kothari Char Rasta, we aren't too far from there. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not exactly the prettiest place to look at, but it’s where all the real work happens. At Sun Techno Cast, we deal with a lot of heat and heavy molds. The floor of the unit is always covered in a bit of dust and sand, which is just part of the casting process. It’s a noisy environment with the machines running, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. Most of us live nearby in the Gandhinagar district, so the commute isn't too bad unless the rains wash out the side roads. We don't have a fancy showroom or a team of people in suits. We’re usually in our work clothes, covered in a bit of grease by the end of the shift. We focus on getting the shapes right and making sure the metal is poured correctly. It’s a lot of physical labor and keeping an eye on the furnace. Lunchtime is usually spent sitting together outside the shed where it's a bit cooler. We just try to keep things simple and get the orders out on time. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it, and we’ve been doing it here in Santej for a while now without making too much of a fuss.
