Our factory sits on Plot No. 9 in the GIDC Industrial Estate. It’s a busy area, lots of other businesses around us doing their own thing. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building isn't brand new or anything, but it works for what we need. Making sanitaryware is a messy process involving a lot of clay and water. You’ll usually find us covered in a bit of dust by the end of the shift. We aren't really into the corporate polish you see in big cities. Here, it’s about whether the molds are right and if the firing went well. We have a routine that we stick to every day. Someone checks the stock, someone else manages the loading dock, and we all try to stay out of the way of the forklifts. The estate can get pretty crowded, especially when the big delivery trucks are trying to turn around in the narrow lanes. We don't have a big reception area or anything. If you come by, you’ll probably just meet one of us in the yard. We’ve had some of the same guys working the kilns for twenty years. They know the sounds of the machines better than anyone. We just focus on keeping the line moving and making sure the products are ready when they need to be. It’s just how we operate. No big secrets or fancy missions, just hard work and getting the batches finished.
