Umiya Agros Industries

You can find us at Plot No. 110 in Phase-1 of the Gidc. We’ve been here at Umiya Agros Industries for a long time. The work we do is mostly centered around agricultural equipment and parts. It’s a lot of iron and heavy machinery. The shop floor is usually covered in a thin layer of red dust from the parts we handle. We have a few big presses and some old welding machines that have seen better days but still work just fine. We don't spend much on making the place look pretty. The walls are stained and the clock on the wall has been stuck at ten past two for months now. We just use our watches anyway. Our team is small, mostly locals who know their way around a tractor or a plow. We get a lot of farmers coming in looking for specific parts or needing something welded back together. It's a busy place, especially right before the planting season starts. We have a small yard out back where we keep the bigger items. It’s often cluttered with pipes and metal frames. We eat our lunch together under the shade of the awning when it’s hot outside. There's nothing complicated about how we run things. We just open up in the morning and see what needs fixing or making. It’s steady work and the days pass by quickly when there is plenty to do for the customers.
