We have been operating out of Plot No. 3008 in Phase-3 for quite some time now. Gidc is a busy place, and our corner here at Uma Fabrics stays pretty loud most of the day with the machines running. It is mostly just a group of us who have known each other for years working the floor. Every morning starts with checking the inventory and making sure the fabric rolls are stacked where they should be. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine gets stuck, but we just fix it and keep going. The weather gets really hot inside the shed during summer, so we usually take our breaks near the main door where there is a bit of a breeze. People come by asking for specific types of cloth, and we show them what we have on the racks. It is not a fancy setup, just a practical one where we focus on getting the work done without much fuss. We deal with suppliers and transport guys all afternoon. By the time evening rolls around, we are usually just finishing up the last of the packing. It is a lot of manual work, and our hands are always busy. The floor gets dusty, and we sweep it out every night before locking up the gates. That is just how it is here. We do not spend time on big speeches or looking polished; we just handle the fabrics and make sure the orders are ready for the trucks.
