Shivam Packaging

The sun gets pretty hot over here at Plot No. 3099 in Phase-3. Most mornings start with the sound of the shutters going up and someone putting the kettle on for the first round of tea. Shivam Packaging isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a workspace in the Gidc where we get things done. We spend most of our time dealing with boxes and materials, making sure things are stacked right so they don't fall over. My cousin helped me set this place up a few years back and we've been here ever since. Sometimes the machines act up when it’s too humid, but we’ve learned how to fix them ourselves by now. You get used to the noise of the neighboring units after a while. It’s a busy part of the industrial estate and there’s always a truck or a tempo trying to squeeze through the narrow lanes outside. We don’t have a big office, just a small desk in the corner where the paperwork sits. Most of our day is spent on the floor anyway. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty, but that’s just how it is. We know the other guys on this road and we help each other out if someone runs out of tape or needs a hand moving something heavy. It's just a normal day for us.
