Our small workshop is located at C-1/b/1216 in Chhatral. If you have ever been to Gidc Phase 1, you know it is a busy place with a lot of noise and dust. We have been operating from this same spot for years. The building itself is nothing special to look at, just concrete and some old metal doors that squeak when you open them in the morning. Inside, we have our equipment set up the way we like it. It’s a bit cramped because we have a lot of stuff shoved into the corners, but we manage to find what we need. There are five of us who handle everything. We don't have a big front desk or anyone answering phones with a script. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and picks up the mobile when it rings. The work is steady but it isn't always easy. Some days the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and then we are all just sitting around waiting for the repairman to show up. We usually just go across the road for some snacks while we wait. It is a very local kind of setup. We don't worry about being the biggest or the most famous company around here. We just want to finish the day's work and go home to our families. It’s just honest work in a dusty industrial estate, nothing more than that really. It's how things are done here.
