Our place, Ratan Fab Tex Pvt. Ltd., is sitting out at Plot No. 3351 in Phase-4 of the Gidc area. If you’re looking for us, we are right opposite Gujarat Foils Ltd. That’s the big landmark everyone uses to find this corner of the estate. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here to Phase-4, but it’s quieter than some of the other sections. We do a lot of work with fabrics and textiles, so the floor is always covered in bits of thread and scrap material. It’s a bit messy, but that's how it goes when you’re busy. The building has seen better days, the paint is peeling a little on the north side, but the machines inside work just fine. We have a small group of people who have been with us for years. We usually have lunch together in the small shed out back. It’s hot in the summer, really hot, so we have a couple of big fans going all day long. You can hear them humming from the street. We don’t do much advertising or anything. Most of our work comes from people who already know where Plot No. 3351 is. We just focus on getting the orders out on time. The road out front gets some deep puddles when it rains, so we have to be careful with the loading. It's just a regular factory life for us here in the industrial zone.
