Out here in Phase-4 of the GIDC Estate, things are a bit quieter than the main roads. Plot No. C-1, 3359 is where we spend most of our daylight hours. Packaging is one of those jobs that never really stops because someone always needs something wrapped or boxed up. Our space is filled with materials and the smell of cardboard and tape. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The floor is usually covered in scraps by the end of the shift, and we have to do a big sweep before heading home. We have a small crew, mostly people from the local area who have been with us for a long time. We aren't big on fancy titles or meetings. If something needs to be moved, we move it. If a machine sounds funny, someone grabs a wrench and looks at it. Phase-4 has expanded a lot since we first got here, and now there are more factories around us than there used to be. It makes the roads busier, but it’s good for business, I guess. We keep a cooler of water near the door because the warehouse gets pretty stuffy when the sun hits the roof. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the orders moving and the bills paid. It’s honest work and we take it one day at a time without much fuss.
