We have a fairly large setup across Plot No. 3429, 3434, and 3441 here in Phase-4 of GIDC. Morakhia Copper Alloys Pvt. Ltd. has been here for quite some time now. Having several plots helps us keep different parts of the work separate, though we’re always running back and forth between them. Copper work is heavy and it gets very hot near the furnaces. You can feel the heat as soon as you walk into the main area. It’s not a place for anyone who minds getting their hands dirty. We have piles of metal around and the scrap gets moved every few days. The guys working here are used to the heavy lifting. We don’t use any fancy marketing tricks. People know what we do because they see the trucks leaving the gates. The office is just a small room partitioned off from the noise so we can hear each other talk. We deal with lots of different people in the trade. Some have been buying from us for a decade. We don't make big promises, we just try to get the alloys right. There’s a rhythm to the work, from melting to casting. It’s loud and it’s messy, but it’s what we know. We stay focused on the output. If the quality is off, we start over. That’s the only way to stay in business around here.
