Our business, Modern Plasmold, is tucked away at Plot No. 1918 in the GIDC Estate, Phase-2. Finding us is usually easy once you get into the second phase, as most people know the general layout of the plots. The building itself is a solid structure that has seen a lot of activity over the years. We have a small yard in front where we park our scooters and the occasional delivery truck. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes, especially on Mondays when everything seems to happen at once. Inside, the layout is pretty simple. We have the main floor where the machines are set up and a small corner partitioned off for a desk and some chairs. It’s not the quietest place to spend a day, but the noise of work is something you get used to after the first week. We don't have any flashy signs or billboards out front. There’s just the name and the plot number painted near the door. The people working here are mostly locals who have been in this line of work for years. We eat our lunch together in the shade when it gets too hot inside. Life in the GIDC Estate is all about the routine of opening up, getting through the pile of work, and making sure the gate is locked tight at the end of the shift. It’s a practical way to live and work.
