Making tools and dies is all about the little details, the kind you can't really see unless you're looking for them. At Dwarkesh Die Tools, we’re tucked away at Plot No. 17 in the Iskon Industrial Estate, which is part of Gidc Phase-2. The shop is filled with the sound of grinding and metal hitting metal. It’s a specialized kind of work. You can’t just rush it or you’ll ruin the whole piece of steel. Most of our days are spent hunched over benches or watching the lathes. We aren't much for fancy talk here. If you come by, you’ll probably find us covered in a bit of oil or metal dust. That’s just the nature of the business. We take the blueprints, set the machines, and hope the power doesn't go out in the middle of a cut. It’s happened before, and it’s a real pain. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors know us. We help each other out with tools sometimes. It’s a good community in Phase-2. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. You just walk into the shop and find someone. It’s honest work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes a die takes longer than expected, but we’d rather it be right than fast. We just keep our heads down and keep working until the sun goes down. We just focus on the steel in front of us and keep things moving.
