We have been over here at Plot No. 3006/4 for quite a while now. Most people know us on Pansar Road in Phase-3 of the Gidc. It is a dusty place but we keep busy with the furnaces and the sand molds. My father started things out and now we just keep the work going day after day. It gets hot in the summer, especially near the casting floor, but that is just part of the job. We don't have any fancy office or a big reception area. If you come by, you will probably find us in the back wearing work boots and covered in soot. We mostly handle small and medium parts for local shops and factories nearby. Sometimes the machines act up or a shipment of raw material gets delayed, but we manage to get through the orders eventually. It is just basic foundry work, nothing too complicated. We focus on getting the dimensions right so the parts actually fit when they leave the gate. People stop by to check on their stuff or just to chat about how the market is doing these days. It is a simple operation here in the industrial estate. We don't spend much time on the computer or making phone calls unless we have to. Most of the guys have been with us for years and they know exactly what needs doing without me saying much. It is just how we do things at Ashok Foundry.
