Being right near National Highway 8 makes things easy for transport, but it is always noisy with the traffic. We are based at Plot 3552 in Phase 4 of the GIDC. Working with polymers means there is always a certain smell in the air, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have several injection machines running most of the time. The floor is concrete and stays cool even when it’s boiling outside in the sun. We mostly make plastic components. Some are for cars, others are for household items like buckets or lids. It depends on what the clients need that month. We aren't a massive factory, just a medium-sized shed with a few honest workers who show up on time. Sometimes we have to stay late into the night to finish a batch if the power was acting up earlier in the day. We don't have any fancy signs or billboards out front. People who need to find us usually know where we are located. We keep the raw material bags stacked up by the entrance for easy access. It is a bit of a squeeze when a new shipment arrives and we have to shuffle things around. We focus on getting the shapes right and making sure nothing is wasted during the process. My father started this and now I help run things. It’s hard work, but it keeps the staff busy.
