Ashirvad Industries

Ashirvad Industries is located over at Plot No. 1907 in Phase-2. It’s right near some other big units, so the traffic is always heavy in the morning. We started out with just a few machines in this shed. Now we use every inch of space we have. The floor is concrete and has cracks here and there, but it holds up. We do a lot of heavy lifting. Most of the guys have been here a long time, so they know the routine. We don't use fancy software or anything; we have a logbook and a whiteboard. Phase-2 is a loud place, but you get used to the noise after a few days. We keep our doors open for ventilation because it gets stuffy inside. Sometimes a stray dog comes in to sit in the shade, and nobody really minds. We deal with parts and fabrication mostly. There's grease on the tools and iron filings on the floor by the end of the shift. We sweep up every evening before heading home. The tea stall down the street is where we usually go around 4 o'clock for a quick break. The office is just a small cabin partitioned off with some plywood. It’s where the phone sits. We don’t get many visitors, mostly just delivery drivers and people looking for work. We’ve stayed at 1907 because it’s a good spot for transport. The trucks can get in and out fairly easy if they know the turn.
