Our place is out in Kalol, at 48/10-11 in the Gidc Estate. It is in the Gandhinagar district, so it’s a bit away from the main city. We work with plastics, which means the machines are always running hot. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it keeps the business going. The factory floor is pretty big, but we’ve filled it up with molds and raw materials over the years. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, as there are always little bits of plastic shavings on the floor. We have a small group of guys who have been with us for a long time. They know how to handle the extruders better than anyone. We don't have a fancy logo or a big marketing budget. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they are also in the Kalol industrial area. We get our shipments in on Mondays and usually spend the rest of the week processing them. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to restart everything, which is a pain. But that’s just life in the estate. We’re just regular folks making plastic goods. It’s a steady living. We don't try to be anything we’re not. It’s just an honest day’s work in Gandhinagar. We've been at this since the early nineties when the estate was much smaller than it is now.
