Ashok Marble

Ashok Marble sits right on Station Road, which means we hear the trains going by all day long. It’s a busy street with people always rushing somewhere, but our yard is a bit of a different world. We have stacks of marble leaned up against the walls, and it’s usually pretty quiet until a customer pulls up. We’ve been here for years, and most people in the area know us just by the location. It’s a simple business. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just stock marble that we think people around here will actually use for their homes. Most of the time, it's families coming in because they're building a new floor or fixing an old one. We show them what we have, talk about the different patterns in the stone, and leave it at that. The yard can get a bit cluttered, especially when a new shipment arrives and we have to find space for everything. It's a lot of manual labor, moving these heavy pieces without chipping the edges. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy out front, but that’s just how it is on Station Road. We’re just a small crew doing our best to keep things moving. You won't find any glossy brochures here, just real stone and a couple of guys who know how to handle it. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the daily life around the station.
