We are located right on Cane Office Street in Sankarapuram. If you know the Pagandai Koot Road area, you probably passed by us without thinking much about it. Magapraba Chit Funds Private Limited isn't some big glass building with a lobby. It is just a regular office where we handle the monthly collections. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, and the desk gets covered in folders because people are always coming in to check their balances or join a new group. It gets busy on the weekends when folks from the nearby villages travel in. We spend a lot of time writing things down in ledgers and talking to people who have been with us for a while. Usually, someone is making tea in the back. The street outside can get pretty loud with the tractors and bikes going past, especially during the harvest times since the cane office is right there. We just keep our heads down and get the paperwork sorted for the next auction. It’s not a complicated life here. Most of us grew up nearby, so we know the families who come in. We don't have fancy computer systems that do everything; a lot of it is still checking the books by hand to make sure every rupee is where it should be. It’s a job that requires staying organized and being patient with everyone who walks through that door.
