Rabbitsfoot Importsprivate Limited

Rabbitsfoot Importsprivate Limited is based way up on the top floor of the Tshering Building. We are right near the Motor Stand on Ongden Road in Kalimpong. If you have ever been to this part of the hills, you know how steep the roads can be and how busy the Motor Stand area gets with all the taxis and people coming and going. Being on the top floor means we have to climb a fair number of stairs every single day, but it keeps us moving. The air up here in the Darjeeling district is usually nice, though it gets quite cold in the winter months. We just wrap up in sweaters and keep working through the day. Our office is a bit crowded with boxes and files, as we deal with a lot of stuff coming in and out. It’s not a very big space, but we have made it work for us over the years. We share the building with a few other people, and it’s a friendly enough atmosphere. Usually, we are just busy checking lists and making sure the transport is sorted out. It’s a lot of practical work and staying on the phone or the computer. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us making sure everything is handled properly. It’s a simple life working in Kalimpong, and we quite like the routine of it all and the view of the hills.
