Mr Pm Mukherjee

Mr Pm Mukherjee is located up in Kalimpong. We are at Anand Grain Stores on Dsgurung Road. It’s a hilly area and the air is much cooler here than in the plains. The shop isn't very large. It is mostly filled with bags and containers. We have been on Dsgurung Road for many years. It’s a steep walk for some but we are used to it. The view from the road is quite nice when the clouds clear. We don’t have any fancy displays. It is a very practical space. We spend our days dealing with the locals. Everyone in Kalimpong knows the spot. We don't use computers much. Everything is written down in registers. It’s a bit dusty because of the grains. We have a small bench for people to sit on while they wait. We don't have a lot of help. It’s a family-style environment. Sometimes we close early if the weather gets bad or if there is a local festival. We aren’t a big company. It’s just us doing our bit in the town. We don't have a website or social media. If you want to find us, you just ask around for the grain store. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We like it that way. No pressure and no corporate talk. Just honest work every day. People come by for their daily needs and we chat a bit. It is how things are done here in the mountains.
