Ashwini Clinic sits right on Market Road here in Shiggaon. If you know Haveri, you know how busy the market gets on certain days. There’s always someone hauling goods or people shouting about prices. Our door stays open to catch whatever breeze we can get. It’s a simple setup. A desk, some chairs, and our basic equipment. We don’t have those big computer screens everywhere like the city hospitals. We prefer writing things down and talking directly to the person sitting in front of us. Most of the people who come in are from the nearby villages or they work in the shops down the street. We’ve seen kids grow up and bring their own kids back here. That’s just how life goes in a place like Shiggaon. The floor is easy to sweep, which is good because of all the dust from the road. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy website. Word of mouth is how most people find us. If someone has a cough or a fever, their neighbor usually tells them to come to Market Road. It’s a bit noisy with the tractors and the trucks, but we’re used to it by now. We try to be honest with everyone about what we can do. It’s a plain, hardworking kind of place for hardworking people. We’re usually here until the market starts to quiet down for the evening.
