Lakshmi Traders

Our place is out in Village Devaliya, right near the big water tank which everyone uses as a landmark. Being in Kalawad, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, but we stay busy with the trading side of things. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot over Jamnagar district. We deal with whatever comes in, checking the bags and making sure the counts are right. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can keep the stock dry and safe. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who pull up in their trucks. Sometimes the roads get muddy if it rains, making it hard for deliveries, but we manage somehow. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers moving crates and writing down notes in the ledger. We’ve been at this spot for a long time now. People know to find us by the post office or the tank. There’s always someone dropping by for a chat or to check prices. We don't do much advertising because everyone in the taluka knows where we are. It’s just daily life for us, keeping the business going and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. The dust from the road settles on the porch, so we’re always sweeping. It's a simple setup but it works for what we do without any unnecessary fuss.
