Halar Stone

Out here in Umrala Village, things move a bit slower than in the city. Our place is near the Kalavad Post Office. If you take the Dhoraji Road, you will find us easily enough. We deal with stones and heavy materials from the Jamnagar District. It is dusty work and your clothes never really stay clean for long. We have a yard where we keep the stock. The weather in Kalavad can be harsh, especially when the sun is beating down on the rocks all day. We are a local bunch, mostly people from the village or nearby Kalavad Taluka. We do not have a shiny website or a marketing department. We just load the trucks and talk to the drivers. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves right there in the dirt. It is hard work but it is what we know. The village is quiet most nights, but the mornings are loud with the sound of work starting up. People around here know Halar Stone because we have been part of this landscape for years. We just keep our heads down and get the stones ready for whoever needs them for their building or road. It is just honest, heavy labor every day. We do not make it sound better than it is, it is just what we do.
