Vedanta Aluminium Limited

This is our spot at R3/6 in Lanjigarh. We work with the aluminium plant here in this part of Orissa. It’s a massive operation, but our office is just a regular place where we handle the logbooks and the daily tasks. The air smells like rain and earth today, which is a nice change. We have a lot of people coming in and out because the site is so large. Dealing with aluminium means there is always a shipment or a batch to track. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets to keep things moving. It's not the most exciting work, but it keeps the plant running. The building itself is simple. We’ve got some old chairs and a few desks that have seen better days. It’s a functional space above all else. Lanjigarh is a bit remote, so we rely on each other quite a bit for everything. If someone's bike breaks down, there's always a colleague to give them a lift. We don't have much in the way of decorations, maybe just a calendar on the wall and some old files. Our focus is on getting the production numbers right every shift. It's a long day usually, starting early and finishing when the sun goes down. We're just a group of people doing our jobs and making sure the metal gets where it needs to go. It’s steady work in a tough environment.
