Sterlite Industries

We are based out in Orissa, specifically in the 766027 area. It’s a bit of a distance from the main cities, but we like it that way. Sterlite Industries has its roots here. The air is a bit different and the pace is definitely slower than what you find in places like Mumbai or Delhi. We wake up early and get straight to it. Our facility isn't something you'd see in a magazine. It’s practical and a bit worn down in places, but it serves its purpose. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. We know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. It’s more like a small community than a cold business office. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but we just find something else to do until it comes back. You learn to be patient when you work out here. We don't have fancy mission statements on the walls. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families. It’s a simple life. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's a big order or a small problem with the machinery. People around here know who we are. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just us, working hard in our corner of India.
