Ss Engineering

We are located in Ward 10 in Kesinga, which is a fairly quiet area most of the time. We’re pretty close to Kesinga Mahavidyalaya, so we see a lot of younger people walking by on their way to class. The shop is filled with various tools and pieces of metal. It smells like iron and oil most days. We do a lot of fixing and making things, whatever the local people need. It’s not the cleanest work, and our clothes are usually stained with grease by the time we go home. We have been here for a while and most people in the ward know where to find us. We don't have any big corporate structure here, just a few of us working with our hands. Sometimes the machines are loud and it’s hard to hear anyone talking, but that’s just how a workshop is. We take things as they come. One day might be really busy with several jobs at once, and the next might be slower. We just keep working through whatever is on the bench. It’s good to be near the college because it keeps the area feeling alive. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to keep everything tucked in tight. It’s a practical way to spend the day, solving problems and putting things back together. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get things done right the first time without much fuss. It's how we've always done things here.
