Chowdeshwari Women Shg

In Narona village, there is a small group of us women who decided to get together. Aland block is where we all live and work every day. Chowdeshwari Women Shg is the name we chose, but mostly we are just neighbors. Starting this group wasn't about building a big company. We just wanted to help each other out when things get tight at home. Usually, we meet at someone’s house or out in the shade when it’s hot. The work we do is simple, like making small snacks or helping with chores in the fields during the harvest time. Saving a little bit of money every month is a big part of why we do this. It makes the future feel less scary for our families. Balancing the kids and the cooking with our group meetings can be a real struggle sometimes. People in the village know who we are and what we’re trying to do. There are no fancy offices or uniforms here. We just want to make sure our children have what they need for school. Life is quiet in Narona, but our meetings are always full of talk and laughter. If a member needs a small loan for a wedding or an emergency, we try our best to help them out from our savings. We are just local women trying to get by and make life a bit better for everyone. We hope to stay together for many years and keep doing this simple work. It gives us a sense of purpose beyond just our daily housework. Every bit of progress we make feels like a win for the whole village.
