Down in Gulbarga, specifically over in the Misbha Nagar area near the MSK Mill, is where we do our work. Our address is No 48 in Zafarbad, and it’s a place where things are pretty simple and honest. We are the USGC team and we spend our time manufacturing and supplying bricks. It’s a hot and dusty business, especially with the Gulbarga sun beating down on the kilns all day long. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned office with glass walls. Most of our time is spent out where the bricks are actually being made. We work with the local clay and manage the firing process, which takes a lot of patience and experience. Our workers are local people who know how to handle the heat and the heavy lifting. We supply to a lot of building sites around the region, so there are always trucks coming in to pick up a fresh load. Sometimes the rain causes us a lot of trouble because we can't dry the bricks properly, so we just have to wait it out. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We don't do any big advertising or have a sales team. People just know where we are and what we do. We’ve been part of this community for a while and we just focus on making sure the bricks we produce are solid enough for the job.
