Tirumala Foods

Our shop, Tirumala Foods, is located at 67-12 on the Market Road in Kalaburagi. It is a very busy street, especially in the mornings when all the vendors are setting up their stalls. We deal with a lot of different food items, so there are always sacks and boxes piled up against the walls. The smell of grain and spices is pretty strong when you walk in. We spend a lot of our time weighing things out and bagging them up for the people who come by. It’s a lot of standing on our feet and moving heavy bags around, which can be tiring by the end of the day. The Market Road is always loud with people shouting and horns honking, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just our name and the address. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby and stop in for their daily needs. Sometimes the supply trucks are late because of the traffic in Kalaburagi, and we have to scramble to keep the shelves full. We don’t use any complicated systems, just a simple way of doing things that has worked for us for a long time. It’s a straightforward business and we like it that way. We just show up, do the work, and make sure everything is locked up tight before we head home for the night.
