Shive Karupa Clinic

Shive Karupa Clinic is located in Bhalki. It’s our own place and we’ve been running it for a while now. The setup is quite basic because we are in a smaller town. We have a front room where people wait and a back area for the checkups. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors or people from the nearby villages. We know most of their names and their family histories. It’s not like the big city hospitals where everything is fast and cold. Here, we take a bit more time to talk and listen. The walls have a few posters about health and some old calendars. We have a small bench outside for when the weather is nice and the inside gets full. The town of Bhalki is quiet most of the time except on market days. We handle minor injuries, fevers, and things like that. If something is too serious, we have to tell them to go to the bigger city. The floor is just plain cement but we keep it swept. We don’t have a website or anything like that, people just know where we are by word of mouth. It’s a simple way of living and working for us. We open early in the morning before it gets too hot outside. The roof makes noise when birds land on it.
