Sbt & Co.

Our business, Sbt & Co., is located at Door Number 12 in the APMC Yard at Rahamathpur. We operate right out of the chillies godown area, which means things can get pretty spicy in the air when the sacks are being moved around. The yard is a very busy place, especially during the harvest season when the trucks are lined up all the way to the main road. We’ve been based in Rahamathpur for quite some time now. Our space is basically a large warehouse where we store the dried chillies before they get sent off to the different markets. It’s a lot of dusty work, and you definitely have to wash your hands carefully after a shift. We have a small corner walled off for the desk and the ledger books, but most of our time is spent on the floor checking the quality of the bags. We don’t have any fancy corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just me and a few workers who know how to handle the produce. We’ve worked with the same farmers for years, and they know where to find us. The APMC Yard can be chaotic with all the shouting and the moving of carts, but that’s the environment we’re used to. We just focus on our stock and making sure the counts are right. It’s honest, hard work and it keeps us on our feet all day long.
