S. K. Badal Rice Milll

The mill is located at 6-978 on Chittapur Road here in Yadgir. If you come by this way, you will definitely hear the machines running before you see the sign. It is a noisy place, and the air is usually full of that specific smell of raw rice being processed. We spend most of the day handling heavy bags and making sure the equipment is working like it should. Sometimes a belt slips or a motor gets too hot, and we have to stop everything to fix it, which takes time. People from around Yadgir bring their grain here, and we get it ready for them. It is hard work, and your clothes end up covered in fine white dust by lunchtime. We don't have a big office or a place to sit down; mostly we are just on the floor moving things around.
