Patil Saradgi Pulses

Our business is located at Plot No. 48 in the KIADAB 1st Phase Industrial Area. This is the GB Darga area, and it’s a pretty busy spot for industrial work. We focus on pulses here. If you walk into the plant, you’ll see rows of bags and machines that sort and clean the pulses. It’s a lot of manual labor, but it’s what we do. The 1st Phase area is always full of activity, and we’re right in the middle of it. We don't have a corporate headquarters with glass walls; it’s mostly just brick, mortar, and metal machines. I spend my days walking around the floor, checking the moisture levels and making sure the grading is being done right. It’s not a complicated business but it requires a lot of attention to detail so we don't send out bad product. Sometimes the dust from the grains gets to you, so we keep the fans running as much as we can. We have a small team and we’ve all worked together for years. We don't spend much money on advertising or anything fancy. People know us because we’ve been here in the industrial area for a long time. It’s just a regular pulses business where we try to do a decent job every day and keep the customers satisfied. The hours can be long, especially during harvest seasons, but that’s just part of the trade we chose.
