Our bakery business is based out of Kalaburagi, in the Shriniketan building. We are specifically located at Sheet No. 102, which is part of a larger complex with a lot of different CTS numbers like 870/H-1. It sounds complicated when you write the address down, but for us, it’s just the place where we show up every morning. The heat in this part of Karnataka is no joke, especially when you add the heat from the ovens. We spend most of our time dealing with flour, sugar, and the smell of yeast. It’s a messy job, and usually, someone has flour on their clothes by nine in the morning. We have a ground floor spot which makes it easier for the trucks to pull up and unload the heavy sacks. The floor is concrete and easy to sweep, which is good because we have to do it a lot. It’s a simple operation where we focus on getting the bread and biscuits out to the local shops. There isn't much in the way of a fancy office; we mostly have a table where we keep the ledger and some pens. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble, but that’s part of running a business here. We just keep our heads down and keep working through the orders. It’s a basic, honest way to make a living, and the local community knows where to find us. We aren't interested in being fancy.
