Narayan Rice Mill

You can find Narayan Rice Mill over at 11/2/1A in the Jajee Complex on Sb Temple Road. Being in Kalaburagi, it gets incredibly hot during the summer months, so the mill is a warm place to work. We are part of the complex, which means there are always people moving about nearby. The mill itself is full of the sound of humming motors and the clatter of grain hitting metal. It is a bit cramped inside with all the machinery, but we have a system that works for us. We spend the day monitoring the hulls and making sure the grain is coming out clean. There is no air conditioning here, just a couple of big industrial fans that mostly just move the warm air around. We have a small desk near the entrance where we keep the books. It is all handwritten because we never really got into using computers for everything. People bring their paddy to us, and we process it while they wait or they come back later in the week. The Sb Temple Road is usually busy, so there is always something to look at out the door when we take a breather. We have been here for a long time, and the Jajee Complex has become like a second home to us. It is just a regular rice mill doing what mills do. We just keep the motors running.
