We have a small yard where we keep some of the equipment and a couple of trucks that have seen better days. The office is just a small room with a fan that clicks every time it rotates, which can get annoying when it’s quiet. It’s not a quiet place because there is always some noise from the street or the engines starting up. We start early, usually before the sun is all the way up, because that’s the best time to get things moving. My hands are usually stained with grease or dirt by noon. We don’t really do anything flashy. It’s just about getting the daily tasks done and making sure the guys have what they need for the projects. Sometimes we run out of supplies and I have to drive out to get more, which takes forever on these roads. We’ve been around Humnabad for a bit, so we know the local shops and where to get the best lunch. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a big corporate team, just a handful of us who show up every day and do what’s required. Some days are slow, and we just sit around talking, but most of the time there is plenty to keep us occupied until we close up for the evening. We just keep things moving.
