Our location is 2-1-145 in Nimbal over in the Afzalpur area. It is a pretty rural spot which makes sense for what we do. The surroundings are mostly fields and open sky. We spend our days dealing with the logistics of sugar and making sure everything stays on track. The office building is functional and nothing more. We have a few fans that squeak a bit and the windows stay open to catch whatever breeze we can get. It is a humble setup but it works for us. People around Nimbal know us as the place that is always busy during the season. We do not spend money on fancy decorations or expensive furniture. We would rather just keep the machines in good shape. Working here means you get used to the sound of the mill and the dust from the road. It is not always easy especially when the weather gets really hot but we manage. We have our routines like the mid-morning tea and the way we organize the paperwork on the old metal desks. The power sometimes flickers when the big motors start up but we have gotten used to the dimming lights. We have a small garden out front that someone tried to start but the dust usually gets the better of the plants. Most of the people we see are farmers and truck drivers who know the area as well as we do. It is a simple life here in Afzalpur.
