Started this place near Muslim Chowk years back. It’s right near the Masjid, so we get a lot of people coming in after their prayers are done. Gulbarga gets really hot in the summer, so the shade inside the cafe is nice. We aren't a big place, just a few tables and some chairs that have seen better days. Mostly, people come for the tea and maybe a small snack while they sit and talk. It’s noisy outside with all the traffic, but inside it’s okay. We open up early when the sun is just coming up. The stove stays on almost all day long. Some days are much busier than others, especially on Fridays. My family helps out when it gets crowded. We don't have fancy menus or anything like that. People just know what they want. Sometimes the milk delivery is late and we have to wait around doing nothing. That’s just how it goes here. We try to keep things clean, but the dust from the road always finds a way in. It's a simple life for us. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their names. It’s just a local spot for a quick break. Nothing more than that. We've been at 87/4 for a long time now. The neighborhood has changed a lot, but the cafe is still pretty much the same. We just keep making tea and serving whoever stops by.
