Hke Pharmacy College

Up here in Gulbarga, the weather can be quite tough, but we’ve got our college set up to handle it. We are a pharmacy college, so our daily life involves a lot of chemistry and medicine talk. The labs are the heart of the place. You’ll always find someone in there measuring out powders or cleaning glassware. It’s a bit of a specialized environment, but the atmosphere is quite relaxed. We don't go in for all that corporate polish you see in the big cities like Bangalore. We are a local Karnataka institution through and through. The building is a sturdy one, built to last, and it has seen many batches of students come and go over the years. You’ll see students hanging out in the corridors between their practical sessions, usually complaining about how hard the latest exam was. The office is a busy spot where we handle all the government paperwork and the university bits. It’s a lot of effort to keep everything running smoothly, especially with the regulations in pharmacy education. We have a small library where students cram for their finals. It’s a quiet, hardworking place. Most of the people working here have been part of the college for a long time, so we’re more like a small community than a business. We just try to make sure our students learn what they need to know so they can work in hospitals or shops later.
