Tata Ceramics Ltd.

We have been over at Plot No. 26 in the Cochin Export Processing Zone for a long time now. Most folks just call the area Kakkanad, and it stays quite busy with all the export trucks coming and going. We mostly do ceramic work here at Tata Ceramics Ltd. It is a pretty large facility and things can get moving quite fast when we have a big order. We have a lot of items going out to different places every week. Some days are more stressful than others, especially when we are trying to meet a shipment deadline. The team here just gets on with the work. We handle the clay, do the firing in the kilns, and check that everything is okay before it gets put into boxes. It is hot work when you are near the ovens, but that is just the way it is. People usually only come by if they have specific business inside the export zone. It is not the easiest place for a stranger to find because the layout of the zone is a bit confusing. We don't do anything too fancy, we just keep the machines running and the production moving along. It is a lot of hands-on work mixed with some older equipment that still works fine for us. Sometimes the rain here in Kerala makes things difficult with the dampness, but we get through it. Most of the people working here have been with us for years.
