Our shop is at 8-24-142, right on the Main Road. It’s a busy spot, which is good because people can see us easily, but the parking can be a real headache some days. We deal with steel supplies and have been doing it from this same location for many years. The front of the shop is usually stacked with pipes or metal rods that just arrived from the supplier. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan; we just open the shutters every morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s a contractor needing a lot of material for a big project, and other times it’s just someone looking for a single piece of metal for a home repair. We treat everyone about the same. The building is older and the walls have a lot of scuff marks from moving heavy inventory around. There’s a small desk in the back where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a bit dusty, but that’s expected when you’re handling raw metal all day long. We like the rhythm of the Main Road. You get to see the whole town pass by from the front door. We don't use fancy titles or wear suits. We just wear work clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. It’s honest work and it keeps us connected to the people here. We just try to be helpful and get the right metal into the right hands.
